The official site for the Animal Behavior Society (ABS). The ABS promotes and encourages the biological study of animal behavior in the broadest sense. Both research studies and the dissemination of knowledge about animal behavior through publications, educational programs, and activities are encouraged.

Human Behavior & Evolution Society

Norms and Preferences Network
The Preferences Network is an interdisciplinary group headed by Herbert Gintis, an economist and Professor at the University Massachusetts, and Robert Boyd, an anthropologist and Professor at UCLA. Over the past approximately 2 years, the Network has developed a research agenda on modeling the individual. The research will take place over the next several years. A working paper series, as well as details on each network member are available from this site.

Center for Evolutionary Psychology
The goals of the Center are (1) to promote the discovery and systematic mapping of the adaptations that comprise the evolved species-typical architecture of the human mind and brain, and (2) to explore how cultural and social phenomena can be explained as the output of such newly discovered or newly mapped psychological adaptations.
