Postdoctoral Fellows:

All applications from highly motivated, skilled researchers will be considered. Expertise in electrophysiology or biophysics is preferred; an interest in fundamental neuroscience questions is required. Interested candidates should send a brief description of research background and interests, a CV, and contact information for 2 references to dgillespie at mcmaster.ca.

Graduate Students:

Graduate students have opportunities to use electrophysiological (in vitro and in vivo), neuroanatomical, and behavioral approaches to investigating auditory development. Strong quantitative skills, with preparation in the physical and/or biological sciences, provide a good foundation for work in the lab. Candidates must apply to and be accepted by one of the four graduate programs with which the laboratory is affiliated (see links below). Interested students should send a brief description of research background/interests and a summary of academic background to dgillespie at mcmaster.ca.

Affiliated graduate programs:

Biology

Biomedical Engineering

Neuroscience

Psychology

Undergraduate Students:

Projects available to undergraduates include primarily neuroanatomical and behavioral studies. Students interested in independent study or work-study projects should consult the Information for Undergraduates page and contact the Principal Investigator at least 2 months before their proposed start date.
